Pros and Cons of work from home

The type of work you do if you don't have access to the equipment you need to work, the home situation and your personal character traits in theory - so there are several pros and cons to consider before setting up a home office and planning your work environment.

The preparation and focusing on work every day while in your home environment requires a lot of self-discipline and motivation even personal work can be so exhausting that you may not have enough energy to meet friends and family when home.

Most of us have learned almost ten months later that we can do our work from home - and in many ways we have found that working from home is much better than doing our work in a fast-paced office environment where distractions and noise overwhelm us. Teleworking has become the new normal for many workers in the wake of the COVID-19 - pandemic, but perhaps you are wondering whether working from home is better for your future.

While some may assume that telecommuters are less busy, some may have a constant need to keep working which can cause burnout. Working full-time can take up most of the day and leave little time for yourself after work. Some telecommuters become distracted from household chores or devote too much time to their personal lives. As a result, they sometimes feel like they are always at work, making it difficult to switch to relaxation mode after work, which many employees consider for granted.

Working from home is a big benefit of working from home and one of the reasons many telecommuters are often more productive than office workers. If you like social interaction, you feel inspired by seeing others work and don't go astray, if others see you then working from the office is the best option.

Sometimes there are projects that require more time or more collaboration and resource planning. Working from home can be self-reliant for some people who are used to working in an environment where you have to constantly interact with your colleagues. Even if you have online calls and meetings with clients or team members from time to time, you will most likely be alone at home most of the time.

If you work out of the office or if the head office is located in a different country, you will miss your co-workers party of Christmas or farewell party.

Telecommuting will allow you to spend more time at home to do the important things that benefit your lifestyle. Working remotely means that you will be more isolated and dealing with fewer social situations than when you are in the office.

While you're out of the office it can be hard to mimic good practices at home, e.g., collecting best practices from your peers or making an impromptu brainstorming session over lunch, it can be difficult to replicate your planning and processes in your home space. The order you do things at work is almost never the order in which you do things at home. You must make sure that you have boundaries between work and family life.

Work from home or telecommuting gives employees the flexibility and freedom to carry out their work activities from the home office. Some homeworkers travel when they work if they have a reliable internet connection so they can carry out their jobs. However, some telecommuters may have children, dogs and other household chores that can make telecommuting much more difficult. This type of work has also been a boon for parents who need more flexibility in their schedules to accommodate childcare, school activities and sick children.

In a near-full-time work economy, employers are forced to provide telecommuting as a competitive advantage in recruiting the best talent. Considering the benefits that employees get and the money the company can save by allowing employees to work from home, it can be said with certainty that the biggest limitation of all this is to assume that the production level of employees will decrease when they work from home.

Limitations of Economic Order Quantity

There are a number of assumptions associated with Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) which makes them the limitations of EOQ. They are: The Total Ordering Cost has to be constant throughout the period. The Quantity is ordered in a single batch. There is no provision of any sort of discount. The ordered quantity is assumed to be known with exact certainty. Inventory Cost remains constant throughout the period. Ordered Quantity is received on time and there is no lead time.
